Meanwhile...

Meanwhile...
I love all creatures. I consider them, all of them, to be sentient beings... I write thrillers, fantasy, mysteries, gothic horror, romantic adventure, occult, Noir, westerns and various types of short stories. I also re-tell traditional folk tales and make old fairy tales carefully cracked. I'm often awake very early in the morning. A cuppa, and fifteen minutes later I'm usually writing something. ;)

An absolutely stunning Gilda (Rita Hayworth) sings, --- "Put The Blame On Mame," 1946...

It looked like Gilda's extremely sexy black satin strapless gown might slip down any minute, and men were certainly hoping it would, as she did a very incomplete strip tease, removing only her long black gloves and a necklace...

Rita Hayworth's off screen personality was nothing like the bold, flamboyant, sassy Gilda. She was, actually, somewhat shy and a very sweet woman, definitely a follower type. She once said something like this, --- They fall in love with Gilda, marry me, and wake up rather surprised at the difference.

Rita was born Margarita Carmen Cansino, of part Hispanic heritage, taking her mom's maiden name, Hayworth, as her stage name. She was a natural brunette who had her hairline raised painfully with electrolosis and her hair dyed red. She reluctantly started her career in entertainment as a dancer at twelve years old, dancing ballroom style, as her father's partner. She was married five times, including to Orson Wells, and to the dashing Prince Aly Khan, by whom she had a daughter, Yasmin.

The beautiful Rita sadly died of complications of Alzheimer's disease. In her last days she was under the care of Yasmin. She went into a coma and died at sixty eight.
