I love all creatures. I consider them, all of them, to be sentient beings... I write thrillers, fantasy, mysteries, gothic horror, romantic adventure, occult, Noir, westerns and various types of short stories. I also re-tell traditional folk tales and make old fairy tales carefully cracked. I'm often awake very early in the morning. A cuppa, and fifteen minutes later I'm usually writing something. ;)

When I am 100...

The Legend Of The Pussywillows...

THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. PLEASE be Kind To Pigeons>>>

Shared from a friend: "My husband grew up in New England where they have pigeons. Apparently they also hate them. He was always saying bad things about pigeons until I pointed something out that he never thought of before. We domesticated pigeons. They are (nearly) all over the world because HUMANS BROUGHT THEM THERE. And, they were more than pets. They carried messages. People raced them. They lived spoiled lives as honored human companions for centuries. Then we got telephones and we threw them out like trash. Literally, we threw them away. Their species had already been fully domesticated and they could not survive in the wild; they lost all their survival instincts during the centuries that they lived caged by people. That is why they live in cities with people instead of in a forest somewhere. It's OUR fault. And not only did we throw them away, but now humans curse them as "winged rats;" casting them as pests. But they don't know how to live without us, and their instincts tell them that they should trust us. So, they continue to come up to humans and beg for food, because it's the only survival skill left in their genes. They love us because they were bred by us to feel that way, and yet we hate them."

The Most Unique Voice, Singing, "Hotel California"...

Hotel California... "On a dark desert highway Cool wind in my hair Warm smell of colitas Rising up through the air Up ahead in the distance I saw a shimmering light My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim I had to stop for the night There she stood in the doorway I heard the mission bell And I was thinkin' to myself "This could be heaven or this could be hell" Then she lit up a candle And she showed me the way There were voices down the corridor I thought I heard them say "Welcome to the Hotel California Such a lovely place (such a lovely place) Such a lovely face Plenty of room at the Hotel California Any time of year (any time of year) You can find it here" Her mind is Tiffany-twisted She got the Mercedes-Benz, uh She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys That she calls friends How they dance in the courtyard Sweet summer sweat Some dance to remember Some dance to forget So I called up the Captain "Please bring me my wine" He said, "We haven't had that spirit here Since 1969" And still, those voices are calling From far away Wake you up in the middle of the night Just to hear them say "Welcome to the Hotel California Such a lovely place (such a lovely place) Such a lovely face They're livin' it up at the Hotel California What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise) Bring your alibis" Mirrors on the ceiling The pink champagne on ice And she said, "We are all just prisoners here Of our own device" And in the master's chambers They gathered for the feast They stab it with their steely knives But they just can't kill the beast Last thing I remember I was running for the door I had to find the passage back To the place I was before "Relax," said the night man "We are programmed to receive You can check out any time you like But you can never leave!"

Korner & Wood Bookstore, ~ Cleveland, Ohio...

KORNER & WOOD was one of Cleveland's notable bookstores. An institution in downtown Cleveland, it served as a gathering point for local writers and artists. The store was founded in 1900 at 157 Euclid Ave., near PUBLIC SQUARE, by Harry V. Korner (2 Jan. 1875-20 Oct. 1958) and A. Vinson. Named Vinson & Korner and located at 150 Euclid Ave., the store moved the following year into the Barstow Bldg., 735-737 Euclid Ave., where it remained until 1924. Vinson left the store in 1904; John J. Wood joined Korner in partnership in 1905 but left in 1912. Left with the store and its corporate name, Korner & Wood, Korner was considered the dean of local booksellers. Though modern and progressive, with the latest avant-garde works, the bookstore maintained a charming character and provided individual attention to its customers. Korner had photographs as well as books lining the walls of his 1512 Euclid Ave. store. Houdini and Blackstone visited the store. Sinclair Lewis stopped whenever he was in town.

"Hello," Lionel Richie: I've been alone with you inside my mind And in my dreams I've kissed your lips a thousand times I sometimes see you pass outside my door Hello, is it me you're looking for? I can see it in your eyes, I can see it in your smile You're all I've ever wanted and my arms are open wide 'Cause you know just what to say, and you know just what to do And I want to tell you so much, I love you I long to see the sunlight in your hair And tell you time and time again how much I care Sometimes I feel my heart will overflow Hello, I've just got to let you know 'Cause I wonder where you are and I wonder what you do Are you somewhere feeling lonely or is someone loving you? A wound that wouldn't close, years lost, ~ STILL...

Things A True Gentleman Does... (Believe it, or not, THEY DO EXIST!)

A TRUE GENTLEMAN PUTS MORE INTO THE WORLD THAN HE TAKES OUT... Being a gentleman goes far beyond good manners. It involves an inate sense of justice and dignity and is based, however corny it may sound to modern ears, on chivalry... Yes, chivalry, ~ the protecting of those who are physically weaker. Here are some things a true gentleman does: 1. Opens doors for women and the elderly, but, actually, he opens doors for anyone, and may even carry parcels. 2. Walks near the curb when he is walking with a woman, in theory, to protect her. 3. If a woman he is with is cold, he gives her his jacket, and is willing to endure a bit of temporary discomfort for her. 4. He pulls out her chair for her and pushes it comfortably closer to the table. He opens her car door and gives her his hand to help her out. 5. He offers her his arm when they are walking together, especially if the walkway is slippery or if she's wearing high heels. Women like to walk holding onto a kind gentleman's arm. 6. Speaking of kindness, it is a natural kindness that modivates a gentleman. He is a kind person, especially to those who need it most, ~ the helpless, the elderly, children, the needy in any way. 7. He says please and thank you, and he means it sincerely. 8. He treats everyone with respect, as he would want to be treated himself. 9. He doesn't kiss and tell. That's dishonorable. He doesn't gossip either. 10. He doesn't act crudely. He doesn't tell dirty jokes, or listen to them. He isn't afraid to stand out from men who like locker room humor because he's a confident adult. 11. He's a jack of all trades. He might be able to fix a car, but he also can cook, do laundry, sew on a button, and diaper a baby. No task that needs doing is below his masculinity. He's a Renaissance man, and women swoon over him because of it. 12. He doesn't hog attention. He listens to other people, even when they don't make much sense, he gives them space to talk. 13. He reads books for pleasure and he listens to good music. He appreciates art. 14. He's honest, but tactful. 15. He won't hit a woman, unless in extreme circumstances, as in needing to save a life, or to protect himself from injury. He never hits a woman in anger, or a child, or an animal. 16. He is decent. He's not afraid to be vulnerable. He admits his mistakes. 17. There is a special grace and ease about a gentleman. He's humble, and knows he can always learn something.

"God Bless The Child Who Has His Own," ~ Billie Holiday...

The greatest love you will ever know is to LOVE YOURSELF. This is a fact many people overlook. FOR... Until you do love yourself enough to free yourself, you will never be truly happy. When you love yourself you are FREE to give your love to others. When you love your life enough to see the beauty and the worth in every tiny aspect of your life THEN, and only then, will you also be truly free... Of course, your life, as it stands now, is not perfect, and it will never be. But, that's not what matters. What matters. Start today to see beauty and meaning in that crippled life of your's. Start to change for the better one tiny thing. As Rocky, the ultimate underdog, said: "If you know what you're worth, go out and get what you're worth." Sooo... Refuse to be taken for granted; tell users in your life to stop and get off of you; addictions end now, right this minute; live as a valued person because you are a MIRACLE of chance happenings and there will n ever again be so unique A YOU. Stop enduring, and start living. ...Hugs & <3 <3 <3.

How Does A Woman Act When She's Really In Love With You?...

Falling in love with a woman can be one of the most wonderful and exciting things that happens in your life. The problem may be figuring out if a woman is in love with you, too. Whether you’re beginning a relationship, or whether you’re in a long-term relationship, women will exhibit the same kind of behaviors when they have fallen in love with you. Here Are 7 Behaviors A Woman Has When She’s In Love... 1. Shyness. A woman who is in love with you may start to be unusually shy. As opposed to hanging out with friends and other men she isn’t in love with, she may be much more outgoing and boisterous. If she’s in love with you, you might find that she is more likely to avoid eye contact, giggle when you speak to her, and have a hard time communicating with you. 2. She gives you presents. Sure, getting presents on your birthday or holidays is pretty standard. But when a woman is in love with you, you may find that she gives you presents more often. They’re not always big presents, but they’re often very special and heartfelt. If you find that a woman you know or are casually dating brings you presents often and without reason, it’s probably a sign that she’s deeply in love. 3. Maybe acting a bit silly. If a woman is in love with you, she may begin to show some strange behavior. She wants to love her back, so she may act childish and insecure. 5. She's fascinated by you. She wants to know about your family, your interests, your day. She may not be able to take her eyes off you. 6. She wants to touch you, put her arm around you, link fingers with you. Her eyes light up when she see you. 7. She cares about your welfare. Are you okay, are you safe? ~ From Power Of Positivity".

Jack Kerouac & Tyke...

💜💜💜 "Ordinarily the death of a cat means little to most men, a lot to fewer men, but to me, and that cat, it was exactly and no lie and sincerely like the death of my little brother - I loved Tyke with all my heart." Jack Kerouac, at Big Sur, California

Song: "Suzanne," ~ written by Leonard Cohen...

"Suzanne" was inspired by Cohen's platonic relationship with dancer Suzanne Verdal. Its lyrics describe the rituals that they enjoyed when they met: Suzanne would invite Cohen to visit her apartment by the harbour in Montreal, where she would serve him Constant Comment tea, and they would walk around Old Montreal past the church of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, where sailors were blessed before heading out to sea. Verdal was interviewed by CBC News's The National in 2006 about the song. Verdal says that she and Cohen never had a sexual relationship, contrary to what some interpretations of the song suggest. Cohen stated in a 1994 BBC interview that he only imagined having sex with her, as there was neither the opportunity nor inclination to actually go through with it. Verdal never benefited financially from the song's enormous commercial success. Its lyrics first appeared as the poem "Suzanne Takes You Down" in Cohen's 1966 book of poetry Parasites of Heaven. The song was on his debut album Songs of Leonard Cohen. Cohen's recording was released as a single in 1968 but did not reach music charts. The song only charted after Cohen's death in 2016. *** "Suzanne," ~ by Leonard Cohen: Suzanne takes you down To her place near the river You can hear the boats go by You can spend the night beside her And you know that she's half crazy But that's why you wanna be there And she feeds you tea and oranges That come all the way from China And just when you mean to tell her That you have no love to give her Then she gets you on her wavelength And she lets the river answer That you've always been her lover And you want to travel with her And you want to travel blind And you know that she will trust you For you've touched her perfect body with your mind And Jesus was a sailor When He walked upon the water And He spent a long time watching From His lonely wooden tower And when He knew for certain Only drowning men could see Him He said, "All men will be sailors then Until the sea shall free them" But He Himself was broken Long before the sky would open Forsaken, almost human He sank beneath your wisdom like a stone And you want to travel with Him And you want to travel blind And you think maybe you'll trust Him For He's touched your perfect body with his mind Now, Suzanne takes your hand And she leads you to the river She is wearing rags and feathers From the Salvation Army counters And the sun pours down like honey On our lady of the harbor And she shows you where to look Among the garbage and the flowers There are heroes in the seaweed There are children in the morning They are leaning out for love And they will lean that way forever While Suzanne holds the mirror And you want to travel with her And you want to travel blind And you know that you can trust her For she's touched your perfect body with her mind...
