Aubrey Beardsley was an English artist, born in Sussex, in August of 1872. He was only 25 when he died, in France, another victim of tuberculosis. He was influenced by Japanese wood block prints to create mostly black and white stunning line drawings that were Art Nouveau in style and a little delightfully naughty, in many cases.
