Meanwhile...
Oh, yes, --- I write in a lot of genres, including Noir mystery and romantic western. I also re-tell traditional folk tales and make old fairy tales carefully cracked. I'm often awake very early in the morning. A cuppa, and fifteen minutes later I'm usually writing something. ;)

***Piraty Cooking: Boiled Paw Paw, (or papaya) ...
It's called paw paw in Jamaica. In most other places it's called papaya. When it's ripe it's eaten like a fruit. Green it can be cooked like a vegetable.
Choose an unripe papaya that weighs about 2 or 3 pounds. Peel it and cut it crosswise. Take out and throw away the seeds. Put it in a pot of salted water (enough to cover it) and simmer it about 15 minutes, till it's tender. Serve with lots and lots of melted butter and some seasoned salt, plus a little freshly ground black pepper or a dash of tabasco sauce.
