Hello. I'm writer Antoinette Beard/Sorelle Sucere. Welcome to my blog, which is dedicated to all the loving, intelligent, brave, wise, strong, gentle, kind, sweet-and-geeky, humble-and-patient, --- whether they have hands, paws, hooves, wings, fins, or even, --- yes, flippers, --- and to all eager readers and hard-working authors, everywhere. ;)
Meanwhile...
I love all creatures. I consider them, all of them, to be sentient beings... I write thrillers, fantasy, mysteries, gothic horror, romantic adventure, occult, Noir, westerns and various types of short stories. I also re-tell traditional folk tales and make old fairy tales carefully cracked. I'm often awake very early in the morning. A cuppa, and fifteen minutes later I'm usually writing something. ;)

Year's end is not the end or a beginning...
"Year's end is not the end or a beginning, but a going on with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us ." --- Hal Borland. (From "Lucy, The Senior Cat Gal.")
I'm not much for New Year's Resolutions, but this is really good advice...

Wisdom from Marilyn Monroe...
"Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." --- Marilyn Monroe.
(And, some people thought she was stupid.)

"A Visit From St. Nicholas"...
"'T was the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugar plums danced in their heads.
And, Ma in her kerchief and I in my cap, had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap.
When, out on the lawn there arouse such a clatter, I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter!
Away to the window I flew like a flash, tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!
The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow gave the luster of mid-day to objects below.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer!
With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be Saint Nick!
More faster than eagles his coursers they came, and he whistled and shouted and called them by name,...
'On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer and Vixen, on Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen, --- to the top of the house, to the top of the wall! Now, dash away, dash away, dash away all!'
As dry leaves before the wild hurricane fly, when they meet without obstacle, mount to the sky,
So, up to the house top the reindeer they flew, with a sleigh full of toys and Saint Nicholas too!
And, then, in a twinkling I heard on the roof, the prancing and pawing of each tiny hoof.
As I pulled in my head and was turning around, down the chimney Saint Nicholas came with a bound!
He was dressed all in fur from his head to his foot, and his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back and he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth and the smoke, it encircled his head like a wreath.
His eyes, how they twinkled, his dimples, how merry, his cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, and the beard on his chin was as white as the snow.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, and I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a nod of his head soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work.
He filled every stocking, then turned with a jerk.
And, laying his finger beside his nose and giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang to his sled, to his team gave a whistle, and away they all flew, like the down of a thistle!
And, I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight, "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
--- Clement C. Moore, --- December 23, 1823.

Of course, there REALLY, REALLY are people who are grinches the whole year around...
...Who seem to want to suck the joy and spontaneity out of everything and everyone, leaving it all as miserable as they are...
Should you reach out to them in this season of hope, renewal and brotherly love???... DON'T.
You'll love this Yule goat tradition!!!...
Some of the cutest goats I've ever seen, --- fluffy and spotted with sweet little stand-out ears!!!... 💖💖💖!!!

A Cup Of Hot Chocolate ***(Deluxe recipe)...
--- A cup of milk
--- Chocolate syrup
--- Pure vanilla extract
---Whipped cream or marshmallows
... Heat milk slowly on the stove in a small pan, stirring constantly so it doesn't burn on the bottom of the pan. When milk steams add plenty of chocolate syrup, and 1/4 of a teaspoon of pure vanilla extract, stir, stir, stir. Remove from heat. Pour into cup, add whipped cream, stir once, or pop in marshmallows. Enjoy. 😍

***SHARE THIS IMAGE TO KEEP CATS SAFE!!!...
***Bang on the hood of your car before starting it. YOU COULD SAVE A LIFE. 💖
Cats might crawl inside the car's hood to get warmth from the engine and fall asleep... The person comes back to start their car and the cat is badly injured from the engine's fan blades!... HORRIBLE!!!... 🙀
This can be prevented by banging on the hood of your car before you get into it to start it. The asleep cat will then jump out.
PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO ALWAYS DO THIS IN THE WINTER. Thanks. 😻
The Spark...
Know that the same spark of life that is within you is within all our animal friends. The desire to live is the same within all of us.
When your cat gives you a precious gift...

A Very Easy Recipe For Delicious Homemade Chicken Soup...
"Bacilli swarm within my portals
Such as never conceived by mortals,
But, breed by scientists,
Wise and hoary
In some Olympian laboratory.
Bacteria as large as mice
With feet of fire and heads of ice,
Who never interrupt for slumber
Their stomping elephantine rumba."
--- "The Common Cold," by Ogden Nash.
"Very Easy Homemade Chicken Soup"...
1 whole raw chicken with skin or 1 package raw chicken parts
A few tbs. or more of wet chicken bouillon stock mix from a jar
A few cans mixed vegetables
Garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper
A box of elbow macaroni
--- In a large pot, boil the chicken, minus the giblets, till the meat falls off the bones. Remove chicken from the pot, save chicken water. Remove chicken skin and bones from cooked chicken, break meat into pieces, set aside. Bring chicken water to a boil, add macaroni, stirring once or twice so the mac doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot. Cook mac till done. Add a few tablespoons of chicken bouillon stock to the mac and chicken water, to taste, sprinkle in onion powder and garlic powder and pepper, to taste. Add cans of mixed vegetables. Add cooked chicken meat. Serve with crackers. (This soup keeps well in the frig, or you can freeze it. It will be better the next day when the flavors have melded.)
