A Wise Old Farmer's Good Advice ...

---Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.

---Keep skunks, bankers, door-to-door salesmen or preachers and lawyers at a distance.

---Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.

---A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.

---Words that soak into your ears are whispered, not yelled.

---Meanness don't just happen overnight. You can't be mean to people and expect them to care what happens to you when you get old.

---Forgive your enemies; it messes up their heads.

---Don't corner something that you know is meaner than you.

---It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge.

---You cannot unsay a cruel word, so watch your mouth.

--- You can't put out hate and anger and expect to get back love and loyalty.

---When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.

---The best sermons are lived, not preached.

A cat will never sleep in a dirty, unsafe place. Eat without fear an apple that has a worm in it. A worm can not live in an apple that's unfit for a human to eat.

---Be glad when it rains; it puts nitrogen in the soil and fills up the wells. On a rainy day, sit back, put your feet up, have a cup of coffee, and wait for the rain to stop. It always will.
