...Okay, --- many of the viewers of "Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman," noticed the sensuous chemistry zinging between Joe Lando and Jeanne Seymour... And, THIS was a family show, --- remember???..
BUT, those kisses that they shared as Sully & Michaela, the body language, the looks in their eyes... It came out that ONCE they WERE a couple in real life. Then, something happened. Jeanne eluded to it, They went away with each other to a romantic spot. I think it was in the Polynesian islands.
And, Jane eventually married Stacey Keach. Joe was still single. People on the set of their show said Joe would tease Jeanne, mercilessly, be especially sexy. Then, Joe got a girlfriend. He became engaged. His fiancee said, DEFINITELY "NO-NO-NO" to Jeanne coming to their wedding. Eventually, Jeanne divorced Stacey and Joe stayed married, apparently happy.
Ummm... If you look closely... At the "Featured Post" (scroll about halfway down this pag.) you'll see that when Sully kisses Michaela she just accepts his kisses. With very few slight exceptions, she really hardly kisses him back; she's pretty passive, while he's using his lips in the most eager, sweet, beautiful, creative and sensual way. Hmmm... (It's acting and the series was supposed to be in Victorian times, when women were supposed to be reticent about sex, --- "nice" women, that is... However, Michaela warms up to Sully. He awakens her passion. WHO COULD RESIST HIM???!!!)
Here's a quote from the show, --- after a friend of Michaela's told her that having sex with HER husband was as routine as "brushing your teeth" before going to bed... Then, Michaela thinks about HOW it is to have sex with SULLY, and she thinks, coyly... "How can anyone say THIS is like brushing your teeth???" π¨ Later Sully tells Michaela, --- "I appreciate your enthusiasm." ππππππ
Getting back to Joe and Jeanne's relationship... Maybe, --- JUST MAYBE what was REALLY wrong is... If you watch any of Jeanne's interviews or anything with her in it as herself you'll see that it seems as if she's very, very self-absorbed... Maybe, --- a major taker, not a giver???...
Sully sounds to me like a Celtic name, --- perhaps, Irish or Scottish. Lando is an Italian name. When Italian-American Joe was in his 30s he was an "Italian stallion"... (And, I say that with all respect and kindness. I mean it as a great compliment.) HE WAS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. (Like I imagine Joe Morelli being, --- in Janet Evanovich's "Stephanie Plum" novels. Perhaps, --- uh, a little like the very handsome guys in these pics, below.)
Sooo, Jane didn't marry the beautiful Joe when she probably could have. HOWEVER DID SHE GET SUCH WILLPOWER???!!!... Or MAYBE she was just silly and missed out on "THE LOVE OF HER LIFE". ππππππͺπππ!!!... (I think he was too good for her anyway, --- just a personal opinion. πππ₯ I know... "Meow, meow," --- I'm being "catty," --- πΎπ½π».)
***It's said when they broke up they remained friends, and that former lovers who do that, love each other still. πππ
Btw, both Joe Lando and Jeanne Seymour are aging gracefully. His hair has not receded, but it's dark brown, not that luscious golden chocolate like it was in "Dr. Quinn". At 59 he's still hot; he's kept a good fit body. I wish he'd grow his hair long again. Jeanne is a surprising 70. She had twins in real life, at age 44.
