Oh, yes, --- I write in a lot of genres, including Noir mystery and romantic western. I also re-tell traditional folk tales and make old fairy tales carefully cracked. I'm often awake very early in the morning. A cuppa, and fifteen minutes later I'm usually writing something. ;)

My Thriller-Suspense Series "The Sexiest Jewels"...

It still may be hard, --- even if you're only twenty-two years old, even if you're six feet, four inches tall, even if you've been trained as an acrobat since you were eighteen months old... It still may be hard to spring, reaching upward eight feet to grab a window ledge, to boost yourself up, with only the strength of your arms and the power of your legs. It still may be hard to use balconies and jump up to grab the ladders of fire escapes and to leap the spaces between buildings. It definitely is hard going up the sides of those tall city buildings. But, it can be done. The media doesn't know who he is; they've dubbed him "The Panther". Obviously, someone saw a glimpse of him going over a roof at night, completely dressed in black. He's quickly becoming known in the worldwide criminal organization, the Shadow Brotherhood, as "The King Of Thieves". He's Duke Alexander Valentin Iharovich Volkov, a Russian aristocrat, the bad boy, anti-hero of my "The Sexiest Jewels" thriller-suspense series. --- Copyright 2022, by Antoinette Beard.

Please keep your black-furred animals safe this Halloween!!!...

There may be cruel, superstitious people out there who want to hurt them!!!... 😿😿😿

At this time, it is not safe for black-furred animals to be adopted out. Many shelters begin holding off on allowing anyone to adopt black-furred animals (especially cats, but also dogs, rabbits, etc...even orange cats have been off the adoption lists during this time in many shelters) from about mid-way through September until after Halloween passes.
Humans have been known to hunt black-furred animals in earnest during the month of October. Many people in a number of countries harbour malicious, inane superstitions about black cats.
In the United States, black-furred cats and wolves (and increasingly black dogs) seem to be the most targeted animals. They are hated, despised, and shunned at no time more so than during October, the month of Halloween.
This is not a religion-specific, or anti-religious issue. There are no peoples of any single religion or of non-religion who are only to blame for these acts. An illogical hate for black-furred animals spans over many cultures in several parts of the world and usually stems from old-world governmental structure.
There are many people in the United States, as well as all over the world, trying to end this nightmare for black-furred animals (again, at its worst during the month of October), and the backwater superstitions connected with black-furred animals that infect a great number of countries world wide.
That being stated, if you see a black-furred animal out and about during this month (or ANY animal for that matter, as instances of animal abuse rise significantly during the month of October, as the organisation Cat Guardian has pointed out on numerous occasions), please take a little extra time to watch over the helpless animal, ensuring the animal's safety.
It would also be beneficial to mention to whomever the guardian (some call them "owners") appears to be, that it is not safe to let their animals outside (not even in their own backyards, sadly), especially during this terrible time where society shows its underbelly by targeting them based specifically on the colour of their black fur.
Please note: We are not going to engage in debate regarding the validity of the information posted here. We have no intention on arguing with anyone who will waste everyone else's time by claiming that what we have stated here is untrue. We've done our homework. Members of Stopcrush.org have worked in shelters and sanctuaries. Before you post here and claim that we've just "made stuff up", do your own research and call shelters. Ask them about what we've stated. Please do not waste our time or the time of those who are attempting to inform others by sharing posts like this one.
Thank you...
