Meanwhile...

Meanwhile...
I love all creatures. I consider them, all of them, to be sentient beings... I write thrillers, fantasy, mysteries, gothic horror, romantic adventure, occult, Noir, westerns and various types of short stories. I also re-tell traditional folk tales and make old fairy tales carefully cracked. I'm often awake very early in the morning. A cuppa, and fifteen minutes later I'm usually writing something. ;)

August 1969, Woodstock N.Y., --- "3 Days Of Peace, Love & Rock And Roll," and 500,000 people...

...at night, --- campfires

It was 3 days of "Peace, Love & Rock and Roll, " a massive concert...

Janis Joplin, Grace Slick & The Jefferson Airplane, The Who, Jimmy Hendricks, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tim Hardin, Sly & The Family Stone, The Grateful Dead, Ravi Shankar, Canned Heat, Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez, Santana, Joe Crocker, Country Joe Mc Donald, The Incredible String Band, John Sebastian, Johnny Winter... The tickets were originally $18 for the 3 days; 50,000 people were expected. But, after a while they let people in for free... They had to fly Janis in by helicopter. When she looked down and saw all the people, she said, "Far out!!!'The Hog Farm, who broadcasted that if you didn't want your food to bring it back, came to provide food and comfort for 500,000 people on Max Yasgur's farm, in his alfalfa field, which turned unto a mudhole after the rain came. Muddy people bathed naked in the nearby Phillipine Pond. Doctors volunteered their services for people who were on "bad trips" from drugs. Supposedly, a few women went into labor during the concert and were flown to hospitals. The cops were there, of course, but if arguments broke out people gathered around the disputers chanting, "Peace, peace, peace!," until things settled down.
